It happens every year around this time. The Troy Flag Day parade.
It used to be the biggest in the nation – four or five hours worth! That was two hours longer than anyone could enjoy, but it didn’t stop them from sitting in the hot sun, watching.
Nowadays it has thinned out a bit, which makes it all the better. It still clears out the streets, tho, unless you know the tricks to get around.
Carmens is on first Street, and you can just pull up and down first and second with no worries, from the finance bridge to the Congress St., Bridge and beyond. We are still dishing out delicious food, having a grand old time on this beautiful day. See you soon!
