Wild Ramps, Exotic Mushrooms & Polenta for Breakfast

King’s Crown, Shiitake & Crimini Mushrooms, with Wild Ramps & two Poached Eggs.

Combines the four basic food groups: delicious, nutritious, fantastic & ecstatic!

Fresh Foraged Wild Ramps

Wild Ramps, fresh from the forest. Match them with sautéed King Trumpet, Shiitake and Crimini mushrooms on a base of our amazing Polenta.

This is the kind of vegetarian food that wins over dedicated meat eaters.

Fresh Berry Compote

Blackberries, blueberries, and red, red raspberries— all fresh, fresh, fresh! Made into a delicious compote, ladled generously over our pancakes or French toast.

What a wonderful way to start the day!

Cheesecake To Die For

Soooooooo many fresh berries! You got your blueberries, you got your blackberries, and then you got your red raspberries on top of that! It’s about the seat tasting fruit I’ve ever had, no exaggeration.

As if that’s not enough, we tip it with a fresh berry sauce– same berries, natural sweetness, just a touch of added sugar. I’m doubly amazed.

Blue Cheese Tartlette

We used phyllo dough to make the blue cheese tartlets. We placed them on salad greens and drizzled them lightly with must to make the most delicious tartlets you have ever tasted.

Like we say here at Carmen’s, “Another day another amazingly delicious tapa!”

We Can’t Thank You Enough!

Thanks to you, we won First Place for
Tapas/Small Plates & Cuban American,
Second Place for Breakfast & Brunch, Best Cuban American and
Third Place for Carribean and International in Metroland Reader’s Poll

And Jim Lewis won for Best Local Visual Artist

When we reopened in 2008, Troy and the nation were on hard times. We felt that Troy needed a community hangout, a place where you could get great food and drink for a decent price. We’ve worked hard to give you that, and with all our hearts, we thank you for acknowledging us. All of you deserve these awards for making Carmen’s what it is—
We couldn’t do it without you, and we wouldn’t want to try!
