Dangerous on Decaf

Friday August 24th  Dangerous on Decaf—  Blues, Jazz, Rockabilly

Three friends playing rock, folk, blues –
Offering jazz and Latin their dues;
A few jug tunes to add some spice,
With maybe some naughty and maybe some nice!
Drinking coffee is part of the share
Trying to keep the caffeine spare,
Cause these three players don’t need much
To keep their motors hot to the touch!
Pickin and drumming and singing the songs
With Dangerous on Decaf your night can’t go wrong!

Cafe open from 5–10pm with music in two live shows from 6–7:30 or 8–9:30 5$ Cover.

Acoustic Diva (Diva & the Dirty Boys)

June 22  Acoustic Diva  (Diva & the Dirty Boys)

What do you get when you mix a spunky NYC cabaret singer with a burning ’60s rock band? Well, it ain’t cabaret!

Lisa Gordon on keys, harmonica and lead vocals, treats audiences to punchy covers of Grace Slick, torchy renditions of Dusty Springfield, Joplin, and more. Looking for Beatles, Kinks or Cream? Burning guitarist Rob Piorkowski, slick bassist Nick Bisanz and hot percussionist Johnny Easy blend their instrumental and vocal talent with harmonies that result in a DIRTY BOY sound much bigger than a quartet.

Cafe open from 5–10pm with music in two live shows from 6–7:30 or 8–9:30 5$ Cover.
Call 518 326 2064 for reservations

Tune in to WRPI, 91.5 FM, Wednesday at 11am for an interview and music with Todd Nelson of TN3!

Friday October 7:  Todd Nelson Trio TN3 mixes elements of jazz, rock and electronics, playing original songs and new arrangements of unusual covers, including pop, folk and gospel and any other genre signified by the muse.
The music of TN3 is improvisational but not noise; exploratory in texture and sound but melodic; arranged but open-ended; structured while embracing the random; aware of the past without repeating it; unafraid of space, subtlety or beauty, and it rocks.

Olivia Quillio Plays Carmen’s Cafe

It’s been a bit, I’ve been remiss posting.  But I have to share this bit of video from Olivia Quillio’s live performance last fall.

Some friends dropped in and she included them for percussion and backup/lead vocals.

Olivia has a sweet, sweet voice.  Before we booked her, she said she really wanted a career in music.  I think she could go far.

Greg Guba Rocks!

Well, he blueses a lot more than rocks.  But I’m really impressed by the way he takes on Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix and other icons of my youth.

Greg Guba likes to play with Carolyn Brown, but unfortunately she was down with a cold.

We talked to him and he’s planning to come back here in July.  Maybe Carolyn can join him then!

This is a special place to play, I really like the vibe here when the musician and the crowd just tune in to each other.  Is there anyone you would like to hear here?
