Surprise Special for Today

No Apology Gluten Free Pancakes

Why No Apology?

Because so often, gluten free products are heavy or taste flat. We’ll stack these pancakes up against any others, with wheat or not, yet they are completely gluten free.

We serve them with our own fresh made Whipped Cream and Fresh Fruit. Light and easy, they will lift you up, not bog you down.

C’mon in and try them!

Dicing technique and ingredients for the Chorizo and Veggie Hashes.

Note that we don’t mention chemicals or preservatives, because we don’t add them, ever! Just spices, fresh smoked meats and veggies.

And flavor. We put in plenty of flavor, too.

Hand Sliced Bacon

Okay, the first part is that we cure and smoke it ourselves so we can get a great flavor without adding chemicals and preservatives.

The next thing is that it should feel good in your mouth, not just taste great. So we hand slice for that fresh from farm texture.

If it doesn’t taste great, look pretty, feel wonderful and make you healthy, why in the world would you bother eating it?

What spices do you use in YOUR Chicken Marinade? We talk about what makes chicken both tasty and tender.

Veggie Empanadas w/ Chipotle Sauce

We set off the sweetness of our Veggie Empanadas (spinach, mushrooms & plantains in our own fresh-made shells) with a nicely spicy chipotle sauce, whipped up fresh for a taste delight.

Perfect for hot weather! I eat them 1:1 with the beef empanadas for staying power, or have two of the veggie if O want something light.

Sauces— Hot & Fresh!

That’s Black Beans on the upper right, one of our signature dishes. Cooked with a touch of Jalapeño, just warm enough to cool you down.

Going clockwise, there’s Roasted Pepper Coulis for the Flank Steak— tangy and tasty, the perfect complement.

Next it’s Spicy Mango Sauce for the Crispy Fried Chicken Thighs, topping off the Rice & Beans that come on the side.

Down in front we have Pea Purée, side by side with the Creamed Cauliflower. Veggies never tasted so good, or went down so smooth especially when we top them off with Crispy Polenta, seasoned lightly just like you like it.

And what’s that, down below in the cooler out of sight? It’s a favorite of ours, Mango-Black Bean Salsa, setting off the Pan Seared Rainbow Trout.

All cooked fresh and on-site, here at Carmen’s Café!
